This amazing tile job was designed by Fey Martin.  She and her husband built the hearth from scratch and installed the tiles themselves.

The dog tiles (and some of the other designs in this installation)  were a special request from Fey.  She runs a bakery for dogs and has several of her own, so they are quite appropriate.  The tiny tiles on either side of the tree are 1"x1" made just for this job.

The field tiles are tumbled marble which was sealed with a non-toxic sealer called mexeseal, which gives them a beautiful luster.
