A Creamy Kitchen

When my lovely cousin, Andrea, sent me these pictures of her new kitchen, they nearly knocked my socks off! I haven't seen this kitchen in person , but from the pictures I can tell that it is a wonderfully inviting room, and I am thrilled that my tiles are part of it.

It is hard to imagine a more perfect setting for a "Birds on a Branch" set in Buckwheat glaze. The light colored subway tiles are by Daltile. They are 3"x6" matte finish, and the color is almond, which harmonizes really well with the creamy art tiles.

The texture in the stone counter tops picks up the texture of the highlights of in the glaze. The art tiles make a unique focal point in this bright and spacious room.

The recessed square over the range helps frame the trio of handmade tiles, and provides a convenient place to set often used items like salt and pepper, and oil and vinegar.
