All of the glazes we use for handmade tile are non-toxic and lead free. Each tile has slot on back for easy wall hanging with a nail or other type of picture hanger. These tiles are also suitable for permanent installation in many settings. This design is original, but takes inspiration from the relief tiles of the Arts and Crafts era. Emu Handmade Tiles are made of high-fire ceramic for strength, and are approximately 1/2 inch thick at the edge, but slightly thicker where the raised owl design appears. Emu Handmade Tiles look great installed permanently or just hanging on the wall, with or without a frame.
