Decorative Ceramic Wall Tile

This is one of those rare customer installations that I actually got to see in person! Some friends here in town did a beautiful job mixing some of my handmade tiles with "wood-look" porcelain tiles in their newly remodeled bathroom. What a good idea! They get the appearance of wood with the durability of tile, which makes a ton of sense for a shower. I like how they chose to run the plank tiles horizontally, it makes me think of a sauna or spa. Frames are now available! If you would like to order a tile framed in a beautiful, Ohio-made, craftsman style oak frame, you can do it two different ways. First, we are now carrying these frames and have added them to our online shopping cart. If place an order though our website, you should be able to check box that adds a frame for an additional fee. It has been way too long since I have posted customer installation pictures! Especially since I have been sitting on some really nice ones, including these: This pretty kitchen features a classic color palette of white, black and gray. The backsplash is a consists a combination of painted wood paneling and tile. The tile above the cook top is a mix of natural stone and ceramic tile. The centerpiece is a 6"x6" "Tree of Life" tile made by yours truly.The picture at the top takes a closer look. I love how this installation shows you don't have to use a lot of handmade tiles...

I have been busy! I just added 10 brand new tiles to my online store. Ok, only one of them is a completely new design, but all ten of them have never before been available in these sizes. I resized many old favorites, including the woodpecker which now comes in the 2"x2" size: The elm tree can be ordered as a 4"x4" or a 6"x6": The mermaid is now available in 4"x4", instead of only 2"x2" The grasshopper & preying mantis have been shrunk down to 2"x2". The spider is completely new. The mantis also grew to 4"x4" My dog tiles used to only come in the 2"x2" size,...

When I received these lovely pictures of an Arts and Crafts hearth from Jeanne in Maine, I felt anything but blue! It is always super exciting for me when I get to see my work installed. These pictures were extra thrilling because this is the first time I have seen most of these particular tiles in a finished project. And what a project this is! The hearth creates a unique focal point in an appealing & airy space.... I had to dig deep in my email archives to find these gems. These kitchen installation photos arrived back in January, but somehow I forgot to post them right away. The beautiful weather and renewal of life in this wonderful month of May reminded me that it is time to share pictures of this nature inspired kitchen: Above the stove are three 4"x4" art tiles: "Turtle" in Autumn Glaze, "Frog" in Leaf Green Glaze, and "Dragonfly" in Cinnamon.
