A Cheery Celadon Kitchen

I can hardly believe I got these beautiful installation pictures almost a month ago and I am only now posting them! I am currently working on several large orders, so I have been focused on making as many tiles as possible in my tiny studio. Blogging and updating this website have definitely taken a backseat to tile production of late. But I today I realized I don't want to wait any longer to share this pretty kitchen with you:

The homeowners, with the help of designer Patsay Zakian-Greenough, selected an assortment of celadon glazed art tiles. Each design had special significance for their family. Here is a close up of some of the tiles before they were installed:

And here is a closer picture of some of those installed:

The 2"x2", 4"x4" and 4"x8" art tiles are mixed with white field tiles in a delightful & playful fashion. I especially like this little snail tile, inching along the counter top next to the range:

The stone counter goes perfectly with both of the different colors of tiles.

The art tiles extend around the corner of the back splash in this open, airy kitchen. I love how the whole space came together! Thank you so much, J.B. for sharing pictures!
