These tiles shipped out a few weeks ago and they are already installed! The homeowner said that the counters came with the house and, while they aren't what she would have picked out herself, she decided to lean into the black and white by adding coordinating tiles. It took two tries to have this "Birds on a Branch" installed just right in this "forever home" in Tennessee. The first time they were installed in what seemed like the perfect spot, until the stove was installed and partially covered them up. Fortunately, the homeowner was undeterred and ordered a second set so they could be installed at the proper height. Behind the range in this serene, open kitchen are my 6x6 Ginkgo Tree and Leaf tiles in Celadon glaze, paired with matching 2x6 field tiles. This Texas kitchen once had a plain, shiny black backsplash: sleek, but a little too stark for the homeowners’ taste. They wanted something with more warmth, character, and visual interest. When fellow artist Kim McAninch ordered handmade tiles for her Florida home, I had no idea how beautifully it would all come together- or how quickly! The beauty of blue and white is timeless, and in this airy Ohio kitchen it brings a fresh, calming presence to the space. This installation features my heron tile set with a 2- and 3-inch border in watercolor blue, along with coordinating 2x2s and 4x4s featuring birds, trees, and a few whimsical cats. I'm insatiable when it comes to customer installation photos. It's always such a thrill to see the tiles I made become part of a happy home like this one.  This beautiful kitchen in Pennsylvania features warm wood cabinetry, mottled green field tiles from another maker, and a glowing mix of my honey-glazed tiles sprinkled throughout.
