My snail and frog tiles aren't usually oriented on the diagonal. For this special request, I modified them once they were out of their molds by cutting off the corners and reattaching them to make a diamond shape. (I promise I usually don't cut corners!) Only about a week after I sent these tiles out, I received these beautiful installation pictures in my inbox:
I love the contrast between the black slate field tiles and white cupboards and feature tiles. The lighting in this room must be amazingly good, because these pictures really bring out the detail in the white feature tiles. White glaze is normally hard to photograph.
Doesn't every lake house need at least one fish?
And a frog, and a turtle...
...and last but not least, a snail!
Here is one more close up of all four tiles:
This looks like a lovely place to enjoy the lake life. I am honored that my tiles get to be a part of this gracious home.
Thank you so much AP and GP for including my work in your beautiful new kitchen, for taking the time to send pictures, and for granting me permission to share your photos! And I especially want to give a virtual high five to AP for doing such an amazing job with the installation!
