Tree of Life Kitchen

It has been way too long since I have posted customer installation pictures! Especially since I have been sitting on some really nice ones, including these:

Tree of Life Handmade Tile Kitchen Back-splash 1

This pretty kitchen features a classic color palette of white, black and gray. The backsplash is a consists a combination of painted wood paneling and tile. The tile above the cook top is a mix of natural stone and ceramic tile. The centerpiece is a 6"x6" "Tree of Life" tile made by yours truly. The picture at the top takes a closer look.

I love how this installation shows you don't have to use a lot of handmade tiles to have an impact. Just a tile or two can provide a lovely focal point. The tree tile is plays off of the carved wooden decorative flourishes surrounding the space above the cook top.

The contrasting border draws attention to the feature tile, but the muted color palette keeps the effect subtle.

Thank you so much, Debbie, for sharing these pictures of your beautiful kitchen! It really means a lot to me.
