artTILE 2013

(The tiny row of green tiles above the elephant were made by yours truly.)

It almost that time of year again! Every spring, indigenous gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio hosts an invitational exhibit featuring 30 - 40 tile artists. I am thrilled that my tiles will be part of the show this year.

This year's show is shaping up to the biggest and best one yet! Here is a link to samples of work from some of the fantastic tile artists that will be included:

Here is a sneak peak of part of my contribution:

Many Types of Ceramic Handmade Tile Art

As I type this, these tiles are somewhere on route 76 or I-71, making their way down to Cincinnati. Note the first finished versions of the 4"x4" snail and crab I mentioned in my last post. Below is a close up of some of the 2"x2" tiles:

Field of Arts and Crafts Style of Handmade Tiles

The glazes I showcased this year are: Leaf Green, Pacific Blue, Spearmint, and Watercolor blue. The mix of blues and greens seems appropriate for the new leaves and blue skies of Spring.

It should be an amazing show this year, I am honored to be part of it!
