Ceramic Handmade Tile Installations

You may already know this, but I love-love-love to get customer installation photos! There is a real feeling of satisfaction that comes from seeing my tiles happily settled into a new home. In a way, I don't feel that the tiles are really finished until they find their place in the world. Mostly I don't get to see where they end up, and that is ok. I understand that people are busy, and home improvement can make life even more complicated. In spite of this, every once in a while a very special and wonderful customer will take the time...

I love when creative people do cool things with my tiles and send me pictures. Jerry from Mazco Builders made these unique end tables using two of my 3"x3" art tiles, the triple ginkgo leaf and the cardinal, each framed in a pinwheel top. According to Jerry's wife, these pictures were taken in his studio and do not capture the true quality of the pieces. She says they are exquisite in person, and I believe her. Fine woodworking and art tiles go together very well. both tiles are pictured in Autumn Glaze Thanks to Mazco Construction for taking the time...

At least that is what happened to me when I opened an email and saw this amazing art tile installation. Every time I open up installation pictures from a customer, it feels like Christmas morning.  Especially when the installation is beautifully done and the pictures are good quality, as is the case with these bathroom pictures from John Ueng-McHale, which feature my 3"x6" vine tiles: This bathroom is a classic; I love the old-fashioned subway tiles in white.  And check out the amazing, retro black, white and grey hex tiles on the floor: I think the art tiles add just...

Here are pictures from a customer who loves art, and has a knack for displaying it her home.  In her kitchen, she had 4"X4" tree themed art tiles installed along with stone field tile, with fantastic results. I love her shelf of art pottery at the end of the wooden counter!  Great use of natural materials.  Here is another view of the area above the stove: And here is a picture of the sink side of the kitchen: Love the soapstone counters and art pottery display! It never fails to brighten my day when a customer takes the time to send me pictures of Emu Art Tiles in installed in their home.  Seeing all of the different ways in which people display and interact with my work reminds me that the world is full of possibilities, and gives me a feeling of connectedness.   An art tile installation is a collaboration between the person who makes the tiles, the person who decides where and how to display them,  and the person who actually installs them.  Since each of these steps is equally important, it is tremendously...
